Product Details:
Quarter, Half, or Whole Pork Shares available
Gloucestershire Old Spot breed, known for its superior taste and texture
Born June 2024, to be harvested at approximately 300 lbs
Raised on our 160-acre Amador County ranch
Antibiotic-free and humanely raised
Our Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs, including our beloved breeding pair Acorn and Ham Solo, enjoy a natural, free-range lifestyle on our Amador County farm. They roam freely under oak trees, forage for acorns and insects, and receive a diet supplemented with high-quality feed and healthy table scraps. This results in pork that's more flavorful and marbled than conventionally raised alternatives.
Purchasing Process:
Place your deposit (50% of total cost) to reserve your share.
We'll notify you two weeks prior to the harvest date for final payment.
After harvest, your pork will be delivered to our partner butcher in Jackson, CA.
The butcher will contact you to customize your cuts and discuss additional services like smoking or sausage-making.
You'll pay the butcher directly for processing services.
Important Notes:
If your contact information changes, please notify us immediately.
Deposits are non-refundable if we're unable to resell your share in case of cancellation.
Shares not paid in full by the harvest date will be forfeited.
It's your responsibility to respond to the butcher promptly to ensure your meat is processed to your specifications.
By purchasing a pork share from Jones Family Farm & Ranch, you're not just getting exceptionally delicious, ethically-raised pork. You're also supporting sustainable farming practices, preserving heritage breeds, and investing in your local food system.
Reserve your pork share today and taste the difference that small-scale, thoughtful farming can make!
Note: This direct-to-consumer sale complies with California regulations for the sale of livestock products from ranches to individuals. We are responsible for raising and harvesting the animal, while processing is handled on behalf of the purchaser by a separate, butchering facility. Customers are opting in to have their specific animal or share of an animal they now own to be processed in this way.
